Bosom Buddies NT

Alice Springs Breast Cancer Support Group

About Us

We formed in 2001 as a support group for Central Australians affected by a diagnosis of breast cancer. As unmet needs and service gaps were identified, we turned our energies to advocacy to improve service delivery for rural and remote consumers.

Bosom Buddies is a group dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness and education highlighting the importance of early detection and intervention.

We provide links and information about all aspects of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, so that people can be empowered to exercise choice. We also offer information regarding allied health services and complementary therapies.

A black ribbon is crossed over itself on a white background.

Companionship, camaraderie and comfort to breast cancer survivors and their families.

Meetings

Our monthly support group meeting provides support for those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, or other forms of cancer.

Our support group meetings are informal, friendly and supportive. We share experiences, laughter and tears over a hot coffee or a cuppa. Family members and friends are always welcome.

Join us on the 2nd Saturday of each month, from 2 - 4pm, Tali Restaurant, Lasseter's Casino, 93 Barrett Drive, Alice Springs. ( February through November )
